Pregnancy.org

We're built By Parents, For Parents™. We've banded together to build a website to educate, empower, and connect ourselves, other parents, and people trying to become parents. We're doing this out of our love for children, and our desire to do our best raising them to become good adults. We believe parenting is a sacred responsibility.

question
Kids' future -- better off or less opportunity?
I heard of a poll a few weeks back asking parents the question: "Do you feel that your children's future will be better off or present less opportunities?" Parents were asked to consider things for their kids such as their future for jobs, income potential, debt, ability to own a home, determine their own family size, be a stay at home parent (if they wanted to), whether *they* will be able to enjoy retirement, etc.

Since that time, I have been tossing this topic around in my mind. Generally, each generation wishes "better" for their children. Do you have faith that your kids will be able to reach that goal?

Remembering 9/11
Today marks the 11th anniversary of '9/11'. Throughout the U.S. there will be tributes and memorial ceremonies in honor of those lives lost that tragic day. Many of us can still recall exactly where we were and what we were doing when we first learned of the attacks -- including a lot of our friends in other countries. While we will "never forget", we know through the stories of our past, that in time, this too will fade into a small mention in history books -- just as the attack on Pearl Harbor and D-Day have for older generations.

For now, we continue to reflect. What is your 9/11 story? and a twist... how do you feel that this tragedy may have changed/shaped you in a positive way?

question
Boobs obsession?
Have you taken our poll "Are you happy with your breast size?" While I don’t think I obsess about my boob size, our poll did get me thinking about my breasts. My little ones -- nursing champs -- have definitely never complained nor has my husband.

Next month features breast cancer awareness. Monthly breast exams should be a part of all our regimes -- along with mammograms as recommended.

What do you think about your breasts? Did you answer that you were satisfied? Are you one for "showing them off" or trying to tone 'em down a bit by showcasing some of your other assets? We want to hear from you! After all, what’s a little boob talk among sisters?
