I just found out yesterday that I am about a month into my pregnancy, and it's all because I have a yeast infection. I didn't know much about yeast infections, particularly because I've never had one. I had my first infection July 1st, and now another one has popped up this past Friday. I decided to take a test when I read that yeast infections could be caused by pregnancy, and now after some rough calculations, I am a month and my baby will be expected around the beginning of April 2010. I've had no symptoms whatsoever except for being tired more frequent then I would normally be.
Today is day one. I took a pregnancy test when I woke up this morning and i barely put the stick down and it was already a positive result. My best guess is that I am 5 weeks pregnant. I went from ecstatic to terrified to very sad. You see, I am at work. I am working at a Boy Scout Camp three hours from home. My husband is home and I wont see him for another couple of weeks and wont be going home until the end of August. I have wanted for so long to become pregnant, and have imagined what it would be like tell him the news.
To drag your body up to do anything when you're pregnant is hard enough, but to be motivated to exercise -- get outta here! Pregnancy is a time for sitting comfortably on the sofa with your feet firmly OFF the ground and your hand firmly IN a bag of chocolates...is it not?
I am six weeks pregnant with my second child. With my first (now 3 years old) I developed a mild case of gestational diabetes.
Should I start following the gestational diabetes diet now, or wait until the glucose screening test to see if I have it again? If I follow the diet starting now, is there a better chance that I won't develop it?
I am only 6 weeks and 5 days ! But I spotted once the other day! I went to my doctors and he sent me for another altura sound ! The lady said there is some bleading there but there is still a heart beat! Now 2 day's later I started spotting again :( If I have a misscarage again this will be number 3 ! We have managed to have one son :) so I have to be thankful for that :)
I am about 5 weeks pregnant and so far I've felt cramping daily but no morning sickness. I think this is normal, but someone scared me by saying that morning sickness meant a healthy, strong baby. I'm thrilled to not feel sick yet, but should I be worried? Also, is green tea a good thing during pregnancy?
i'm 10 weeks about 2 be 11 2morrow but yes i am leaking creamy yellow stuff from my boobs and not sure if this is just a sign that i am no longer pregnant ?? but the other thing is i just been told i could have misscarried so really confushed am i just leaking due to my body getting rid of it or may there be a small chance my baby is ok ?????????
I have only been married for about three months, and we became pregnant unexpectadly. I have been very physically active (I teach a high intensity Zumba class) and I exercise six days a week (before I became pregnant). I have been keeping that up because I know it is healthy to exercise during pregnancy, and my body is used to it. I just wanted to know when I need to cool it... I do not want to harm my baby ever!
My husband and I had planned to go to Holland, about a six to seven hour plane ride with a six hour time difference from us here in New York.
Is it advisable to fly during the first few weeks of the pregnancy or is in better to stay home?
