Twin B was smaller (I don't know how much smaller), and no heartbeat was detectable. 5 days later, on November 2, I had a follow-up ultrasound b/c of bleeding. Metanex Preventing Miscarriage?
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
Three years ago I got pregnant and then miscarried at 6 weeks. There was a lot of blood and a lot of cramping. When I went in to the doctor, he was very good about helping me through the ordeal and because of my father's medical history, decided to run some blood tests. I was diagnosed with MTHFR and prescribed Metanex. In September of that year, I became pregnant again and now have a beautiful boy that I love dearly.Pregnancy With IUD Embedded
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
I am almost seven weeks pregnant and have an IUD embedded in my cervix. What should be my concerns?I know the Dr. mention that I might have to have my first c-section ever. I am worried that the IUD will effect how the cervix closes. What are the risks?
I meet with the doctor again on Friday. I have been having non-stop doctor visits and ultrasounds. Is this a big problem? What happens if I go into labor with the IUD embedded in the cervix?
They have tried to remove it and it wouldn't come out. I am going out of my mind.

Pregnancy and Methotrexate
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
My husband and I have just found out that I am 12-14 weeks pregnant with our first child. This has been completely unplanned as I for the last 2 years have been taking Methotrexate for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, my dose is 20mg per week taken via an injection format. When I was originally prescribed the drug we were told that under no circumstances should I think about having children without having come off it for at least 6 months. This was not an issue to us so we had planned our lives around just being the two of us.
