QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
At my 28 wk u/s it was confirmed that I have a complete placenta previa. Because of my 2 previous c-sections, it is suspected that I may have an acretta. I scheduled an appointment with a peri for a more detailed u/s at 29wk. They canceled the appointment and with 2 little ones at home and being on bed rest, my schedule is tight.

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I have been sick for a few days now, and my body temperature has been a hair under 103 degrees today. I know in normal circumstances a 103 temperature is not yet reason enough to go to the ER, but I was curious, being pregnant, if my temperature continues to rise, what temperature should I be packing it up for the doctor? I am concerned not only about myself, but the healthy development of my son. I know their brains and such are not ready for the heat.

Placenta Covers OS - 18 Weeks Pregnant

QUESTION

Dear Ms. Ultrasound,
Hi, I had bleeding and strong BH contractions after intercourse with my partner which lasted for 2 days. I'm 18 weeks pregnant.

My scan says this..

The placenta lies mainly on the left lateral wall, however it covers the internal os. No obvious hemorrhage seen.

As my placenta covers the os, what are the chances of it moving by the time I am 38 weeks? I know that 90% of LLP move enough for a normal birth, however as mine covers the internal os are the chances still as high?

Stretch Marks

For anyone out there wanting to keep stretch marks away, a friend told me during my 1st pregnancy to use Bag Balm. You get it at any drug store. It is a nasty looking, nasty smelling and very greasy. I was huge with my son and I smeared it faithfully all over my stomach and breasts. I never got one stretch mark on my entire body from pregnancy. Now I am 6 months pregnant with my 2nd child and faithfully smearing bag balm all over again, and I have elastic skin. Not one stretch mark appearing.

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I am 20 weeks pregnant. on my 20-week scan they noted bilateral choroid plexus cysts on the baby's brain. Otherwise the baby is healthy. they told me not to worry and didn't take any further action. however, I want to meet up again for them to discuss it with me since I am an emotional wreck since they told us.
