i went to my appointment today got my prenatal vitamins, my pap smear, & got scheduled for an ultrasound tomorrow & i also found out that i'm not 12 weeks pregnant i'm about 20 or 21 weeks,
i was kind of expecting that but i got to hear me & adams baby's heart beat today.
i almost cried when i heard it although i wish adam was there but he was & still is working,
i want to see if he can get the day off tomorrow so the both of us can see the baby for the first time.

yes adam got a job as a flagger in construction for now,
he makes 12$ an hour & over time is 15$ an hour.

Gestational Diabetes

Cynthia Flynn's picture

Dear Midwife,
I am six weeks pregnant with my second child. With my first (now 3 years old) I developed a mild case of gestational diabetes.

Should I start following the gestational diabetes diet now, or wait until the glucose screening test to see if I have it again? If I follow the diet starting now, is there a better chance that I won't develop it?

Weight Loss During Pregnancy

Dear Fitness Expert,
I'm 26 years old and 6 months pregnant with my first child. I have gained 25 pounds in the past 6 months. I'm 5'9 and approximately 230 pounds.

I was a bit overweight before I got pregnant and I am having so much trouble trying to exercise. I can't keep up, I get tired too quickly, and can't breath. I used to belly dance and Irish dance for 12 years before I got pregnant so I'm used to being fit, though I've never been "tiny."

I am really concerned that I'm not going to bounce back after pregnancy.

Obstrics Scan gallery

A good obstetrician can clearly determine any early signs of complications or foetus anomalies with the aid of chromosomal screening, anatomy scan and 3D or 4D scans. Look at the following photo gallery to judge how an obstetrician can determine various fetal anomalies at an early stage thereby reducing the risk of many complications -

Baby Jack is on the move!

Finally, little Jack made his presence known in my belly this morning. How cool! It felt kind of like a muscle twitch. He has been moving around all morning, on and off. I was laying on my left side in bed, which seemed to be the best position to feel him swimming around. I am 21 weeks and 2 days along, so I have been patiently waiting for this! Now my husband can't wait to be able to feel him, too. All in good time, I guess Smile
