1 Baby's eyes open and the eyes are able to sense light changes in the womb. | 2 Hormonal changes may cause grouchiness to come back BUT just remember you're almost done! | 3 Congestion might set in as hormones continue to change. Avoid heavy, fatty foods, they are harder to digest. | ||||
4 29 wks LMP (27 wks gestation) | 5 Your baby is getting fatter and the skin is less wrinkled after filling out. | 6 If you have older children, talk to them about being a sibling try to prepare them for the new baby that will be born soon. | 7 Sleeping with pillows under your belly and between your legs relieves back stress. You can find all sorts online. | 8 Congratulations! You're in the Third Trimester! | 9 Baby can make grasping motions, and likes to suck its thumb. Awww :) | 10 It's common to dream and fantasize about what the baby might look like. |
11 30 wks LMP (28 wks gestation) | 12 Couvade often returns to men, bringing depression, fatigue, and weight gain. Increased communication helps, along with regular exercise. | 13 Personal Reflection: "I remember the first time I felt my baby kicking and thought how amazing and wonderful..." | 14 Baby's body continues to grow quickly. Your baby's brain is developing well, with different sections taking shape. | 15 Colostrum may begin to form in your breasts. It is the predecessor of breast milk. | 16 You may have more Braxton-Hicks contractions but don't worry. Try lying down and see if the contractions subside. | 17 Swelling, high-blood pressure, headaches, and/or changes in vision might be pre-eclampsia. Call your healthcare provider immediately. |
18 31 wks LMP (29 wks gestation) | 19 Your baby should typically be head-down (or vertex - feet or buttock down is called breech) at this point but don't panic if your baby isn't. There is still plenty of time for the baby to turn. | 20 Personal Reflection: "I realize that becoming a parent is a real gift and to not take any moment for granted." | 21 If you're having a baby boy, his testicles have dropped from his abdomen, where they grew, into his scrotum. | 22 It's time for childbirth classes. 25 Lunar Month 9, 32 wks LMP (30 wks gestation) | 26 Fetus may hiccup, cry, taste sweet and sour, and respond to pain, light, and sound. | 27 You may gain weight faster now than any other point in your pregnancy. | 28 Baby's brain and nerves are developing directing bodily functions. | 29 The volume of amniotic fluid begins to diminish. | 30 Pregnancy isn't permanent. The mood swings will disappear eventually. If they don't, you'll want to seek some professional advice after baby is born to help combat Postpartum Depression. | 31 Baby's bones get stronger, limbs get fatter, and skin takes on a healthy glow. |
