Amniotic Sac too Small for Baby?

QUESTION

Dear Ms Ultrasound,
When I had went to my ob/gyn for my monthly checkup he gave me a quick ultrasound check, gave me the pictures and said he would see me next month.

My question is from the ultrasound pictures it looks like my baby doesn't have any room. It looks like the amniotic sac is too small for the baby. Could this be possible or should I not worry about it?

ANSWER

Hello
Please note that you cannot make any kind of judgment from one ultrasound image as a professional and as a layman. If there was a growth problem the doctor would have known from his "quick" look and either sent you for a more in depth ultrasound or he/she would have taken more time during the study.

Sooooooooooooooooo, I give you permission, as of now, not to worry!!!!!
