Bleeding or Spotting

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
My wife is Five weeks five days and shes spotting throughout the entire day. I not sure do I take her to the er or is it normal for that to happen.

ANSWER

Bleeding during pregnancy should always be evaluated by your provider. If you don't have a provider and cannot get one, then yes, you should have her seen in the E.R. But it would be better for her to be seen by her own provider, if possible.
