Dear Midwife,
I need some help and answers to when I conceived. I had sex with my ex partner after a row with my partner. I have listed all my dates below.
I have irregular periods and hadn't had a period for months, so I went on the pill to help bring them on. I didn't continue with the pill after my period.
10/08/08 -Early hours - Had sex with ex partner, whilst on my 7 day break with the pill-dianette.
12/08/08 - Got period for 3-4 days.
7/10/08 - First scan - 6 weeks 2 days
17/11/08 - Second scan - different lady, said I was measuring slightly bigger at 13 weeks instead of 12 weeks 1 day.
09/01/09 - Third scan - same lady above said I was measuring just a few days ahead instead of 19 weeks 5 days.
Could I have conceived on the 10th Aug?
Due date is 31/05/09
Do you know anything about genetestlabs.co.uk they do a Prenatal Paternity Test they say 99% accurate?
Please help
September 7 is your most likely conception date from all you say, and there is no way this pregnancy could have been conceived August 10. If Aug 10 was the last time you had intercourse with your ex, there is no way he is the sperm donor.
The paternity test would prove it, but if what you say is how it actually happened, I think it would be a waste of money to do the paternity test.
