Dear Ms. Ultrasound,
I'm 9.5 weeks and had a ultrasound a week ago. The doctor told me my sac (the bag??) around the baby seems small and the liquid is reduced? She said chance is half/half for continued to have this baby,
Can you tell me what's my chance , I can't wait for my next ultrasound for the answer. Please.
Hello, I wish I could give you a solid answer to your inquiry, but I can't. I don't think anyone can really tell you in a case like this. The best advice I can give you is to try to let this information go while you wait for your follow up. Stay as stress free and and as joyful as possible. I believe strongly this positive attitude aides in the healthy development of your baby.
The good news is, if you get past 8 weeks your odds of the pregnancy progressing to term increase. The next landmark is 12 weeks. If you move into the second trimester, the rate of miscarriage goes down significantly.
With Regards,
