About a year ago, I started going to a Yoga studio 2-3 times a week where we pratice power yoga in a heated room (90 degree) for a 90-minute class. I have been trying to conceive for the past three months and I am not sure if I should stop going to the studio. Can you please give me some advice?
Current evidence indicates that you should probably find another yoga studio during this time of conception and pregnancy. While the correlation between caffeine, certain foods, heat and pregnancy continue to be debated among experts, most agree inner core temperature must be watched. Your inner core temperature rises significantly during power yoga (heated) sessions. If you love yoga, find a studio that continues to work your body and spirit but does not cause your inner core temperature to exceed 101 F degrees.
