Is Cramping at Four Weeks Normal?

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I am four weeks today and for the past three days I have been experiencing mild cramps. I don't have them constantly only in the mornings and towards bedtime. Is this normal? This is my first pregnancy and I am really worried.

ANSWER

It sounds like growing pains to me! Unless you are bleeding, it is probably nothing to worry about.
