Curious About My Due Date
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
Just recently I took a positive pregnancy test on the 14th of December.
My last period was on October 13th. November 17th I took a negative pregnancy test and one a week until this one is positive.
Lately I've been having usual periods anyways. I think I ovulated late so my expected due date of July 20th may be wrong by near a month.
Just recently less then a week ago my breast started swelling back up cause they were a little saggy due to breast feeding.
I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant I was just wondering about my due date.
ANSWER
If you were taking pregnancy tests every week and got your first positive one Dec. 14, you likely conceived two weeks earlier, give or take a week, and your due date would be roughly Aug 27.
The best thing to do is to get a dating ultrasound sooner rather than later if your expected due date was not computed from an ultrasound. If you already had an ultrasound, then that is the date that is most accurate.
