You also need to know that there are ways to be in the room without seeing the blood. Simply stay by your woman's head. Yeah you will see some blood that is on the baby, but you being the first one to hold your little one will make all the blood go away. My husband wound up staying in the room with me, although he stayed by my head and sat in the chair, he said he was really glad that he did. He said that you just get a spectacular feeling when you see your baby and cut the cord and then hold them for the first time. He couldn't have been happier and when I saw him hold our little boy, my heart melted.
