Dear Family Pet Expert,
I have 2 parrots and have been cleaning the bird cages (paper) during my pregnancy. Can that contribute to miscarriage?
Michelle
Congratulations!
I am not aware of dangers with domestic birds. I would encourage you to follow normal great hand washing practices following handling and consult with your ob/gyn and vet regarding any potential concerns. I will continue to research this topic and if I find out more info or links then we will post them.
Thanks for your email and Good luck with your pregnancy!
