Five Home Tests Showed Positive
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
On Friday I bought an hpt. I took it (1:30pm) and it came back positive with a very dark line. Then I waited some hours later (8pm) and took another one but this time the line was very light and around (9:35pm) I took another one -- the same thing. I waited until the next morning and took 2 more and those lines where very light as well. I went to the hospital and took one on Monday and their test came back negative.
Can you please tell me what's wrong. I have been trying for 8 years now. I been having the symptoms left and right.
Could I possibly be pregnant? Do I need to take a pregnancy blood test?
ANSWER
My experience is that if a woman takes a good urine blood test and then has her blood drawn right after that, the results come out the same, either both positive or both negative.
If you have been trying for 8 years, than you are about 7 years overdue to find out what the problem is. It is long past time to find out!
