Medications During Pregnancy

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I am an American living in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and while I was here I thought that I may have gotten amoebas. I took something called Vermox which is a one time dose to kill any parasites. I also took maybe only 2 days worth of Pankreoflat.

I just want to know if these can do any damage to the baby.

ANSWER

Vermox is Pregnancy Category C, use with caution, but a one-time dose is probably ok. I am not familiar with the other drug.
