Negative HPT
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
Hello, My husband and I have only ttc for 2 months now but last week I noticed slight nausea, that wouldn't go away, (since its flu season I assumed I was getting sick) and frequent urination. My period is irregular, so I'm not sure if I was suppose to get it on Nov 4/08, or Nov 11/08, so I'm either a week and two days late or 3 days late! Some new symptoms started this week I have been having nausea almost to the point of vomiting, tiredness, frequent urination, and I checked my cervical position and its high, but when i took a HPT today it was negative! What should I do? Am I Pregnant?
ANSWER
Not until the (good quality) pregnancy test says you are. I would re-test in two weeks, and if you still feel lousy and test negative, I would suggest you talk to your primary care provider. Good luck!
