I am 22 years old, I have been off of birth control for about 14 months. I did not start having normal periods until 7 months after I discontinued birth control.
Finally at the middle of Nov. I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant, however I had a miscarriage the following week after I found out. After the miscarriage i have only had one period on Jan. 17.
After missing my period I took a test and it was neg. Then took a blood quantitative hcg and came back with less than 1.
Is this normal to not ovulate or get normal periods after a miscarriage? If so, when can I expect to start ovulating, or what can I do to help my body go back to normal?
It partly depends on whether you had a natural miscarriage or surgery (dilation and curretage or D&C). If you had a D&C, the scraping of the uterine wall can take a while to heal. If you had a normal miscarriage and miss a second period, it is time for a check-up.
