I just had my second child 2 1/2 months ago. I went in and had my tubes tied a few weeks ago. I just took a pregnancy test because I missed my cycle. It came back positive. I am expecting number three.
My question is, with having my tubes tied while I was pregnant does that raise my risk of miscarriage? Should I make an appointment right away with my doctor or can I wait a few weeks like I did the last few times.
Very rarely there are false positive pregnancy tests. I would suggest that you wait one to two weeks, re-test with a high quality pregnancy test, and if it is positive, do make an early appointment.
Your provider will want to review your surgery records, and may want to do an ultrasound to verify dating, etc.
Good luck!
