Dear Midwife,
I may be pregnant and my husband is on methotrexate for RA for 3 months now.
If I am pregnant is will be while he has been on mtx for 2.5 months.
What is the likelihood the something being wrong with the baby? Could the baby be ok? This is a wanted pregnancy.
Thank you for your help.
My sources say that both males and females on methotrexate should avoid conception.
I think it would be best for you to consult a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who can provide more education and guidance for you than I can.
Hopefully, everything will be ok.
