Pregnancy After Blighted Ovum

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I had miscarriage 1 year back. The doctor said I had a blighted ovum.

Can I have a normal pregnancy again?

ANSWER

Absolutely! We estimate that at least half the pregnancies don't "take," but before we had home pregnancy tests, we didn't even know most of the time. And obviously, most women are able to have a normal pregnancy. So don't let that stop you!
