Pregnancy Complications From the Pill?

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I have been feeling ill for a couple of days....exactly like I was when I was pregnant. I have had a period so I wasn't really convinced that it could be a possibility...until I took THE TEST! My concern is that I have been taking the birth control pill, the test was positive....are there any possible problems that could occur with the pregnancy because I had been taking the pill

ANSWER

No. They just have estrogen and progesterone, which you make anyway. But we don't recommend that you keep taking them!
