I am 27-weeks pregnant and am curious to know if protein drinks are safe. I have occasionally had 100% Whey protein drinks throughout my pregnancy. Should I worry?
I would say that it is important to watch the amount of protein you are consuming daily. When you are pregnant, it is necessary to get a healthy balance of protein, carbs and healthy fats! If you are consuming foods and/or supplements that are higher in one nutrient, such as protein, that can throw your nutritional balance off.
It doesn't sound like you are consuming them on a regular basis but I would check with your doctor to be sure you are using them safely.
