Scan or Blood test
QUESTION
Dear Ms. Ultrasound,
4 Weeks ago my doctor did a blood test and it showed that I was 8 Weeks pregnant.
In other words this week I am 12 weeks(3months).
Last week Monday I had an scan(the one for early pregnancies) and it again showed 6 weeks.
Which will be the most accurate as this is very confusing. It is my second baby. the different due dates is 19 August and 29 September.
Please, can you give me clarity?

Hi there. The dating of a pregnancy cannot be done with a blood test, so the ultrasound is the only accurate dates you have.
