Shirodkar Stitch and Sneezing

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I had a shirodkar stitch placed 3weeks ago. I have an incompetent cervix. It was diagnosed after I went into early labor (18weeks) in the beginning of this year.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and suffering from sinusitis. Will my sneezing cause any harm to the stitch. I'm just so worried.

Thank you

ANSWER

I am so sorry for your previous loss, and congratulations on this pregnancy.

Not likely that sneezing will affect the stitch, but I understand your concern, and would agree to take it as easy as you can. Hopefully you will recover from the sinusitis soon!
