Super Twins

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
Hello. My fiancé and I went in for our first ultra sound today. They have discovered a second sack.

The first one is 7 weeks 4 days old. The second sack shows a just a yolk so they are not sure on age or if it didn't progress.

My mother is a super twin. She was conceived 1 month later than her twin sister.

Is it possible this could be the same scenario. What are the odds? Thank you very much for your time.

Jesse

ANSWER

Sure, such things tend to be genetic. Congratulations!
