Dear Midwife,
I had my baby 2 days ago and my feet are so swollen I don't know what to do about it. They weren't that swollen before delivery.
What should I do about the swelling?
First, tell your midwife or doctor so they know. There is a very small chance that you could have a problem that needs their attention.
If not (most likely), drink lots of water and eat lots of protein (steak three times a day--tell your partner!). Keep those feet up as much as possible, and soak them in warm epsom salts when ever you have a spare 10 minutes.
This is usually a temporary problem that resolves on its own.
