Dear Nutritionist,
A friend of my husband suggested tonic water to ease nausea. I know that tonic water contains quinine and was wondering if it is safe or not? I have researched on the internet and have found very little that touches on the subject.
Thanks in advance,
Mary -- 7 weeks
Mary,
There seems to be quite a bit of controversy as to whether tonic water is safe or not during pregnancy. My suggestion, since it is in question, would be to avoid it during pregnancy and stick to other forms of fluids that are known to be safe without question!
Good luck,
