Worried it Could be a Miscarriage

Dear Midwife,
I strained a little bit during a bowel movement and had some bright red spotting when I wiped. I didn't have anymore after that and I have no cramping or fever or dizziness or anything like that.

I am 7 weeks along and I don't see my doc for the first time for a week from now. Could I have caused a miscarriage?

No, but you may have had a problem with a hemorrhoid. Are you certain that the bleeding was coming from your vagina?

In any event, you are not telling me anything that makes me think that you are miscarrying so far, so good luck!
