The creator of the Magic Sleepsuit is a mother of three (with a fourth on the way) and a pediatric physical therapist. While a sleep sack helps to keep a baby warm, it does not provide the secure, contained feeling that a baby needs to help them go to sleep on their own or fall back asleep if woken. Babies generally sleep best when they are cozy and secure, such as when he was in a car seat or stroller, or when being held. The Magic Sleepsuit was designed to provide that same cozy and secure feeling. The Magic Sleepsuit is basically a sleeper with some fabric weight that provides the cozy and secure environement that babies crave. It helps mufffle those twitches (Moro reflexes) that wake babies prematurely. It eliminates the need for blankets in the bed and helps keep the baby at a constrant temperature all night long. The Magic Sleepsuit is currently available in three colors (pink, blue, and yellow) and two sizes (small and large). The Magic Sleepsuit has a cozy micro fleece outer layer, a soft cotton inner layer against the baby’s skin, and a layer of poly-fil in between for just enough warmth and comfort. The small size was designed for babies approximately 3 to 6 months of age and 12-18 lbs and the large is designed for babies approximately 6-9 months and 18-21 lbs.
