Getting Pregnant Again with Low Sperm Count
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
I am 25 years old and trying for a second child. It took my husband and I almost 6 years for our first child. We had testing done and I was fine but he had a low sperm count. The doctor said that it was very unlikely that we would conceive without in-vitro or artificial insemination. However, 8 months after the testing, we were successful in getting pregnant on our own.I was just wondering if it was likely that it would take us a such a long time this time.
Thanks.

Artificial Insemination Preparation
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
My question is relating to my preparations for artificial insemination.I'm 38 and dr suggested my egg reserve was low and I'd need to conceive in possibly 4-6 months. I've taken meds and injectables under the direction of my fertility doctor.
As of today, we have three eggs, two perfect ones and one small one. The next step is to inject Ovidrel (I think this releases the egg?) and to come in for insemination. We will be using cryogenically preserved sperm for the insemination.
Would You Suggest Artificial Insemination?
QUESTION
Dear Midwife,
I've been through your detailed, informative and interesting list of your preconception and ovulation tips and given my situation I'm confused. I'm deeply in love with a man who lives in Kenya and I'm in South Africa. We have discussed the idea of having a baby but the distance poses a big problem for us and he is forever busy traveling but we've tried the natural way.Artificial Insemination

Improving Sperm
