What is cervical insufficiency? Find out and learn what questions you should ask your doctor about it!
I am 16 weeks with my 9th pregnancy . I have an incomplete cervix along with past surgeries on my uterus. We have had 3 live births and 5 miscarriages.
I am wondering how much round ligament pain is normal. I have been in a lot more pain with this baby than with any of my other pregnancies. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts?
I just had a second trimester miscarriage. This was my first baby and the doctor came in and told me that I had an incompetent cervix. Then I read the article in this site that sounded similar to my case. I'm just wondering if I'm going to be able to conceive a healthy baby. What can I do? I'm very confused.
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
Yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We arrived at the surgery center (outpatient procedures only) an hour and a half before the surgery was scheduled.
Well, it has been a week and a half since I got my cerclage and already I am running into frustration with not being able to the things I am used to. The doctor told me no heavy lifting, no strenuous exercise, and no intercourse.
My first appointment since getting the stitch went really fast. The doctor said that stitches looked good and the cervix was firm. I told him how uncomfortable I have been feeling with the stitch after being on my feet for more than 20 minutes.
I want off this roller coaster ride! It seems like my husband and I have been running into more frustration with each other. But at least he has opened up (rather loudly and full of rage) about what has been bothering him lately.
Over the last two days, I have been feeling something odd. I saw my doctor today so I talked to him about this new feeling because it reminds me of the feeling I had when Gabe was delivered.
I have been keeping myself busy and it seems to have kept the emotion at bay. I even managed to hold my new niece for the first time since she was born. She is almost 2 months old now.
