  • Does Jogging Affect Implantion?

    QUESTION

    Dear Fitness Expert,
I would like to know if jogging can affect implantation of the fertilized egg? I understand that after the egg is fertilized, it will travel down the fallopian tube to implant itself in the lining of the uterus.

If you happen to jog during this time, will this cause the egg to fall out or drop down from the uterus?

    Thanks.

  • Exercise After Intrauterine Insemination

    QUESTION

    Dear Fitness Expert,
My husband and I have been trying for 1 1/2; years to conceive and are now under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist. I have been an avid runner and do some moderate weight lifting for about 6 years now. We had the Intrauterine Insemination a little over a week ago and I am dying to work out, but many people have said to just hang tight for a couple of weeks.

Is this necessary? Will running or lifting some weights have any affect on conception? Please advise...

  • Progesterone Suppository & Bleeding

    QUESTION

    Dear Midwife,
I am 5 weeks pregnant and have been on progesterone suppositories since my IUI procedures.

This morning I noticed grey/brown spotting with a little red mixed in. The amount was fairly small, just enough to partially fill a small panty liner. My RE said he didn't think it was anything to worry about and to just take it easy today.

While I trust my RE, I'm still very scared that I am about to miscarry again. Other than M/C, what could cause bleeding like this?

  • Amanda's Journey Final entry -- week 33

So here I sit. Months have gone by and I have not written. After writing my entry on my due date I just lost all goals for writing. There were just too many thoughts and happenings. Too many to put into words. It sounds like an excuse and it probably is. I guess I was just overwhelmed with it all.
