Dear Midwife,
I am 21 weeks pregnant, and am only 18, so am very cautious and worried about everything. I was told that you are supposed to feel your baby move a lot by now, to the point where it's even little kicks. I haven't felt a thing that I can accept as baby movement. Am I just not perceptive enough? Or is he really not kicking me?
Dear Midwife,
Oh, I am at 37 weeks now. I haven't gone against advice and have been on terbutaline for 10 weeks, now not taking it any longer. I have been having contractions 10-15 minutes apart for a week now and no one will do anything to help me out, so I was thinking of trying blue cohosh now that I'm at this point. Would it still be a bad idea?
Dear Midwife,
I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first child. I regularly see my OB/Gyn each month but he hasn't measured the size of my uterus yet. I have been reading several pregnancy books and they say that at 15 weeks my uterus should be easily felt 3-4 inches below my belly button. My stomach feels hard starting at my belly button, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm feeling.
Dear Midwife,
I am currently pregnant with my second child and have had numerous problems with this one, including preterm labor issues around 26 weeks. I have been on terbutaline since that time, even though I don't agree with it. My baby has dropped and has been head down since that time.
Your baby's skin is pink to reddish in color and is smooth. The body is continuing to fill out. The sucking and grasping reflexes are strong. At about 34 weeks, a substance that is necessary for the lungs to function (surfactant) is steadily produced.
Your baby's head, arms, legs, and body are now fully formed. At 20 weeks, he weighs about 1 pound and is about 7½ inches in length. His movement will become increasingly noticeable to you.
You're now at 17-20 weeks in your pregnancy. Chances are you're visiting your caregiver once each month. You may be asked if you've felt the baby move. Read more!
A sample birth plan based on the preferences of a typical hypno-birthing couple. Yours may vary, but consider the length and format as a guide. 2 pages is the longest it should be, and using bullet points or small paragraphs will help ensure it gets read.
Hi. I'm Chelsea and I'm 5 months pregnant. I enjoy feeling my baby girl move. I do this by applying small to medium amounts of pressure to my tummy causing her to respond with movement, kicking, or rolling around. I am very thin for my height which caused me to begin to feel her movements at about 16 to 18 weeks.

I felt the baby move today! I had read and heard so much about gas movements being mistaken for baby movements that I didn't want to get too excited. I couldn't help but think though, that they felt VERY different from gas movements I usually have!
