  • Early Ultrasound Results

    QUESTION

    Dear Midwife,
I had my first ultrasound today. I'm not sure how pregnant I am. My last period was Nov 5th, but I have 35 day cycles, so I'm roughly 5 weeks. The doctor saw the gestational sac, but nothing else during today's sonogram.

Should I be concerned we didn't see a yolk sac or a baby at this stage? I'm a first time mom and very anxious.

    Thanks.
