Suppose if my male partner and I have same blood types (for example, O positive), should I have a baby? If I am pregnant from the guy with same blood type, will I have a shot to prevent further complications? Or can't I have a baby at all?
Not only are blood types different but some types of blood are incompatible with some others. The white blood cells in some types will perceive other types as enemies, attacking and destroying.
When the mother is Rh-negative and the father is Rh-positive, the fetus can inherit the Rh factor from the father. This makes the fetus Rh-positive too. Problems can arise when the fetus's blood has the Rh factor and the mother's blood does not.
