  • Incomplete Cervix, Cerclage, Pain.

    QUESTION

    Dear Midwife,
I am 16 weeks with my 9th pregnancy . I have an incomplete cervix along with past surgeries on my uterus. We have had 3 live births and 5 miscarriages.

I am wondering how much round ligament pain is normal. I have been in a lot more pain with this baby than with any of my other pregnancies. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts?

    Blessed Be,
    Courtney

  • Lower Abdominal Pain at 16 Weeks?

    QUESTION

    Dear Midwife,
I am 16-weeks pregnant and have been having periodic pain in the middle of my lower abdomen. I usually feel it when I lean forward real far (like when I am standing up from sitting or getting out of a car). It is different than the round ligament pain I get on my sides. I have been having it on and off for two weeks. I don't have any other symptoms of a bladder infection such as frequent urination.

  • Sandy's Surprise -- Round Ligament Pain

Sometimes I think all this must be happening to someone else. This feeling of unadulterated joy is so different from anything I've ever felt! I've been happy before, but this is so much more. It's like there's this huge miracle going on and I get to be part of it. How amazing is life?

  • Sandy's Surprise -- More Comfortable Clothes

Well, it turns out I am now a 36 D! And the lady said once my milk comes in, I'll likely go up to a 36 E! I had no idea they made E's! So now my breasts are a LOT more comfortable. Tim would enjoy my new "assets" if he could! The policy at our house right now is, "Look but don't touch!"
