Hello! At my first ultrasound, the baby's heart rate was 154 BPM and all looked well. At ten weeks 2 days, a friend let me borrow her home doppler, which shows baby's heart rate. It started out at 192, was 188 the next day, and has remained in the 180's since.
The doctor wants me to to take Macrobid for a urinary tract infection but she wants me to start before the results even come back and that just stupid to me.
She said if I have one that I don't treat immediately it's more dangerous for the baby than antibiotics but I really don't want to take them especially since my only symptom is white blood cells in the urine.
Dear Midwife,
I have this on going problem that no doctor can help me with...
I frequently get painful uti's( every3-5 weeks)... The doctors keep giving me medicine for it(macrobid) but it keeps coming back. I've had this problem since before I was pregnant and I am now 15 weeks.
I just want the pain and everything to just go away....
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
I took a home test and got a positive result on June 4th and June 5th. My LMP started on May 22nd. On June 5th I went to the ER due to spotting. They did a Beta HCG with a result of 2.4 and an US showing nothing and referred me to my OB.
Wondering what to expect at your preconception appointment? The following checks or tests may be made by your doctor before making the decision of pregnancy, in order to ensure you will have as trouble-free a term as possible and good health for the growing baby.
