Hi,
According to my last menses I am supposed to be 6 weeks but when I went see my doctor the scan didn't show a heartbeat. All we saw was a large cyst and two dots.
My doctor said that the dates could be wrong as I was on clomid and it could have delayed ovulation. I might be only 4 weeks pregnant but he couldnt confirm anything because he said the dots were too small.
I went for an ultrasound at 5 weeks and 4 days (baby A's measurements). Baby B was 5 weeks 2 days. All that was showing on the u/s (trans vaginal) were the 2 sacs -- no yolks, poles or hb's which the technician said is very normal for that early on.
Eating right and gaining the recommended amount of weight is important in any pregnancy, but this is especially important when carrying more than one baby.
Women expecting multiples have many different and unique experiences than those women who are carrying a single pregnancy. Since multiples are at a greater risk of developing complications, your healthcare provider will want to see you more frequently.
You have been told that you are expecting multiples and that you will need to gain more weight, eat more calories, and possibly expect greater pregnancy symptoms. So, how does this affect your exercise routine?
