Dear Midwife,
Me and my fiancé have been trying to get pregnant for 8 months now, I am 19 and he is 20. I have just recently started taking pre-natal pills to help give me the nutrients that I need.
We feel that we are too young to need to start taking fertility supplements. Are their any natural foods or drinks we can use to increase our chances of getting pregnant
You know that it is wise to back up your computer's hard drive; I recommend backing up your child's food drive with a daily multivitamin/mineral supplement. This simple habit could improve your child's health and even intelligence. I'll explain briefly why I feel strongly about this
Dear Nutritionist,
I am 26 years old and 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby. In the first trimester I lost 9 pounds due to not feeling well and lack of appetite. Since about week 13 my appetite has better, but I have still only gained 2 of the lbs back.
How quickly should I be gaining and do you suggest any certain foods to help? I have added a boost supplement daily and try to eat a well balanced diet with many snacks in between my meals. My doctor checked my thyroid levels which were normal.
Dear Nutritionist,
I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. For the past few months I had been taking L-Crnetine and CLA as part of my daily supplements. Can I still take those now that I am pregnant?
I see a nutritionist who prescribed Krill Oil for me to take during the pregnancy. He said it would be very good for the brain development of the baby. Everything I have read about it sounds positive, I would just like to have a second opinion if you don't mind.
