As a mom-to-be, you're probably ridiculously tired. Use this list to help you take care of yourself, growing baby, and responsibilities in your first trimester.
Pregnancy symptoms are showing up, your period hasn't arrived yet, and you're convinced you're with bump! You take another test and...it gives you a negative result. You're left feeling frustrated and wondering why.
Dear Midwife,
I'm 38 and have 2 kids which are 7 years apart as we tried for years to have our 2nd and had many miscarriages. My miscarriages were mostly very early losses. Eventually fertility drugs did the trick and we had baby # 2 in Dec. 07.
Dear Midwife,
I am 15 1/2 weeks pregnant and I feel awful. This is not my first pregnancy. I am tired, extra tired, super morning sickness all day long and all I want to do is lay in bed. I have heartburn and zero energy. I have a hard time standing for long, I get dizzy.
I just wanted to mention that although I know I am not the one who is pregnant, I really think I am having symptoms! I have had the worst heartburn for over a week. I hate heartburn! Maybe if I can have some of the pregnancy symptoms it will give Nadine a break from them.
Dear Midwife,
I am 19 years old and Ive been in a serious relationship for a little over 4 years now.
Here recently I have had a lot of unprotected sex without being on birth control. My partner and I have had sex for 3 years with no unexpected pregnancies.
Dear Midwife,
I am feeling very frustrated and disappointed right now. I have been trying to conceive for about 4 months. I have a 35-day, regular cycle. I was due to start this past Sunday, July 13th. I had cramps and low back pain like normal, but no period. It is Thursday, July 17th and I still have no period. I tested on Monday, July 14th and it was negative (morning urine). I also tested this morning (Thursday) and it was negative.

When she walked away I got that sense of creeping dread -- not that our secret was unraveling, but rather the notion that she thought I was an idiot. "Poor, simple Jeff," she was probably telling her maid of honor. "His wife goes in the bathroom to puke her guts out and he still doesn't get it."
It isn't that *big* of a thing normally...but right now smells are driving me nuts. Worse than driving me nuts...driving me to throw up. And my husband doesn't get it. The increased sensitivity a woman has to smells is a result of her olfactory and pheromone receptors becoming hyperactive during pregnancy. Her what?
Dear Midwife,
I recently had a blood test to see if I was pregnant; it came back negative. Could it have been too early to see? I am only a week late but have some symptoms that I had my last pregnancy. I use to be on a 28-day cycle but now it has gone to around 31 days and I am one week past that.
My husband and I are trying. We have had two miscarriages and are getting discouraged. I know that I can carry a pregnancy as I have a two year old. We desperately want another. Does Geritol work?
