Dear Midwife,
My husband and I have just started trying to conceive. I have been off the birth control patch for a month now. Prior to that, I had been on some form of hormonal birth control continuously for 7 years. Before that, I had regular periods with a cycle length of 28 days.
Dear Midwife,
My husband and I want to start trying to get pregnant in December. I'm currently on birth control pills and have been on them for almost 4 years.
When do you recommend that I stop taking the birth control pill in order to conceive in December?
Dear Midwife,
I have a 3.5 year old girl. Right before I left the hospital I was put on Depo. I was on Depo for 3 years, then in January I started the pill Ortho Tri cyclin. I started immediately having regular periods. I stopped the pill for a month or so and bled for a month or so straight. I started taking the pill again at the end of April, had my period May 21, June 21, July 14, and due for another August 11.
Dear Midwife,
Could you please tell me how long it takes to start ovulating after using Depo-Provera for 6 months? Can I get pregnant when I haven't had a period for almost 9 months?
Dear Midwife,
I was on birth control pills for 8 years. I went off them in October 2003. My husband and I are 23 and have been ttc since March. We both have a clean bill of health and my periods have always been regular.
Can being on the pill for that long disrupt your chances of having children? Also, what is your opinion on fertility monitors? Since they are expensive I thought maybe you would have some advice on which ones are best.Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.
Dear Midwife,
My husband and I have decided that we would like to start a family. I haven't been on any form of birth control in 2 years other that we have been using condoms. The first day of my last period was on July 5. I've done the ovulation calendar and it stated that my most fertile dates were from July 15 - 21, with July 19th being my ovulation date.
I read that you should have sex every other day during the fertile days as well as your ovulation date, and we have. I guess I wanting to know if we have done the necessary things?
