I was given two doses of Diflucan 150 mg one week apart at the very beginning of the pregnancy (1st / 2nd week) to treat a yeast infection. I didn't know at that time that I was pregnant.

I read about the side effects and I'm worried about what's going to happen to the development of the fetus. What are the risks? When would I know I everything is ok with the Baby

My father passed away three years ago. I have had some dreams about him, but now, I'm having dreams all the time. I found out that I was pregnant on my dads birthday and today I'm 8wks pregnant.

I will probably be doing this alone. The dad, who I've known since 7th grade, is in the military. He also doesn't want more kids. He has 2 school aged children already. I understand that he doesn't want more kids, but this will be my second.

I am 8 weeks pregnant second child. I woke up this morning severely constipated. I went very white and was sweating profusely. I have never experienced this before. It took almost two hours of agonizing pain before I finally had a movement. Now I am afraid to go to the toilet again in case of reoccurance.

Hi, I found out last week that I was 7, now 8, weeks pregnant. I have been having some abdominal cramping and was reassured that is ok as long as there isn't any major cramping or blood. Last night, however, I noticed some mucus discharge with a little bit of brown, after peeing. Is this still ok?

This is my first time and an unexpected pregnancy.

Dear Midwife,
I am currently fifteen weeks pregnant and am now very happy about it. Initially though I was terrified and was trapped in a difficult position where abortion was impossible. I was so sure I could not have the baby that I thought perhaps I could bring on a miscarriage myself.

I have never felt so ashamed of my actions, I punched myself in the stomach and deliberately threw myself down some stairs. I know this is unbelievable and disgusting and I regret it so much. At the time I was about six weeks pregnant.

QUESTION

Dear Midwife,
I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I just started spotting. I've had a miscarriage in the past and am extremely nervous.

The bleeding is very light, sort of mucousy, and I'm only slightly crampy, but I've been slightly crampy for weeks now. Could this be late implantation? Or should I be worried that it's something more serious?

Dear Midwife,
I am 5 weeks pregnant. I am experiencing back pains, but no bleeding. I had a miscarriage last year and had sharp pains in the lower back with bleeding. It is not that severe. I never have back problems.

Is this normal or could something be wrong?
