car seat

  • Orbit Baby Stroller

    • bassinet

I would just like to say I haven't had my little one yet. But my best friend has a 4 month old, so I knew what I wanted when I was thinking baby gear.

I know it's early but with the crazy price tag I ran out and bought it ASAP before I could let common sense come into play. The orbit baby system is awesome and yes it costs a butt load of money but its way more practical and handy then a bugaboo, and the car seat is one of the safest on the market.

  • Baby Stuff -- What do you need?

Pretty much everything about being pregnant is intimidating the first time out, but nothing is quite so intimidating, in quite the same way, as the Baby Stuff.

  • Preparing Clothing, Furniture, and Accessories for Your Baby

Weeks 33-36 of your pregnancy is a good time to plan for some special needs and concerns that will be important after your baby is born. The following items will be necessary and/or convenient for the everyday care of your baby:

  • Rear facing car seats

A rear facing car seat is used for the child under the age of one and it faces the back of the vehicle. Rear facing has been proven to be the safest position for any child as long as they are in the weight limit of the seat and their head is under the top of the seat by one inch or more.

  • Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat

    • Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat

Convertible car seat by Evenflo - highly rated for ease of use, comfort, and safety!

I wouldn't use this with a newborn since I wouldn't be comfortable with the amount of recline (not that much).

For my newborn, I went with an actual infant seat. But I really like this seat a lot. The harness is easy to do/undo, but hard enough for little hands to have difficulty I think (mine's not old enough or quite strong enough to really try yet).

  • Sandy's Surprise -- Prime Journaling Time

Today Tim and I went baby shopping! It was fun, and very tiring! People were right when they told me to get it all done by 6 months -- wish I would've listened! We were only gone for about 4 hours (and 2 of that was driving time) but I was still exhausted when we got home.
