Dear Midwife,
Hi, I found out last week that I was 7, now 8, weeks pregnant. I have been having some abdominal cramping and was reassured that is ok as long as there isn't any major cramping or blood. Last night, however, I noticed some mucus discharge with a little bit of brown, after peeing. Is this still ok?
This is my first time and an unexpected pregnancy.
Dear Midwife,
I was scheduled for a Hysterectomy in the summer and then found out that I am pregnant.
I am very excited to be able to have another child but I am nervous about the baby's health and my delivery and after the delivery. I have one child now who is 8 and had a difficult pregnancy and difficult delivery with him. I was able to have him vaginally.
There is no cure for endometriosis, but there are ways to reduce the pain it causes, restore fertility, and shrink the size of the "lost" tissue. However, the best long-term treatment option is to remove the offending tissue if possible.
The uterus is normally in a straight vertical position. Some women have a tipped or tilted uterus, in which the uterus is tipped backwards toward the back of the pelvis.
