My 2-year-old does not separate well from me. In the past I've left her for short periods of time with her grandparents and at my gym's daycare, but she just cries the whole time. I'm worried what it will be like if I leave her for longer periods to go to work. Please help!

Well yesterday I had my first Prenatal appointment so that was pretty exciting! My Doc. put me down as being 9 weeks pregnant which was 1/2 a week more than I was thinking. She asked me to come back in a couple of weeks so that she could listen for the heart beat. Her comment was "If we can hear the heart beat, then you'll be fine." I really like her, not only is she a great obstratition/GP but she is a mother of two young kids and has experienced 2 miscarriages. She talks from experience.
Dear Experts,
I have suffered 4 losses in the past year and a half. I am now just over 5 weeks pregnant and I am a basket case. Every time I am waiting for my beta results, I cry like a baby until I get them. My last results only doubled in 73 hours, so now I am in a complete state of panic! How do I deal with it?
The third trimester the worries switch from what crib or bedding to such concerns as: What if I don't bond with him/her right away? or What if my midwife doesn't answer the phone? The weeks leading up to the birth can be tiring, exciting and terrifying all at the same time. Shellie shares ways to easy your discomfort and your mind.
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
I am so confused. I am 2 days late for my period. Last week I did early result HPTs; 3 came up positive followed by 2 negative. I went to the doctor and he said most likely not. The same day I got a strange pain (which later found out was cramping), went to hospital and they did a blood test. It came back negative. When my period was due I did another hpt and came back positive and 4 have since. I went back to doctor for blood test which came back inconclusive -- just on the borderline of positive apparently.
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
I have had 4 successful pregnancies and my last one ending early in a miscarriage. I'm pregnant again and according to my u/s, I am about 5 - 6 weeks pregnant. I saw the gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole, but surrounding the sac is a large black area. One radiologist said it was a hemorrhage.
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
I had a dream 2 nights ago that I'd had a miscarriage and was holding the fully formed baby which was a girl. I didn't go through the miscarriage in my dream and the baby was the size of my hand.
For some reason my blood platelet levels were down, a condition I passed on to Henry and Augustus. So this morning I was told both babies received platelet transfusions in the middle of the night to prevent internal bleeding.
Everyone knows that stress is bad for us, but why? Did you know that stress causes spikes in cortisol, the stress hormone produced by the adrenal glands? That's okay if you're grabbing your kid away from the side of the pool, but chronic high cortisol levels are bad for your body.

You've probably put a lot of thought and effort into helping your child adjust to school or daycare for the first time. And maybe you've been looking forward to your new freedom. But if you're like most moms, you've found yourself wiping away a tear or two as well. So for a little help managing your own separation anxiety...
