Davis and Stein - Pregnancy Infancy Crisis
First released in 2005, two FDA public health advisories have been issued involving Paxil, an SSRI antidepressant. The warning indicated that women taking paroxetine – the brand name of which is Paxil – during the first trimester of their pregnancy may have exposed their babies to the risk of developing serious congenital malformations, most especially one involving the heart. The second advisory that came out in 2006 warned patients and healthcare professionals on the potential risk of chronic pulmonary hypertension to the newborn.
I am only 6 weeks and 5 days ! But I spotted once the other day! I went to my doctors and he sent me for another altura sound ! The lady said there is some bleading there but there is still a heart beat! Now 2 day's later I started spotting again If I have a misscarage again this will be number 3 ! We have managed to have one son so I have to be thankful for that
Hello to all.. I am new to doing anything like this I never thought to log into this site for help (emotionally)... but I need support from people that are going through the same thing I am. So I am hoping that you guys can welcome me in. Thanks
What you are going through is so painful, and all your reactions, thoughts, and emotions are not crazy, but a natural part of the grief you are feeling over this terrible situation. You share much emotional common ground with other preemie parents whose babies are in critical condition.
I need some help and I don't know where else to turn. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first child at age 35 and feel I may have become seriously depressed. I first mentioned this to my OB at about week 8 and he basically blew me off. In all fairness though, it's a group practice and you don't really get to know any of the physicians very well.
My wife and I just got our triple blood screen back and we were told the test for Downs came back positive. The doctor set up an appointment for tomorrow for an ultrasound and possible amniocentesis. My wife and I have had two, very early miscarriages (fist month or so) and are scared to have the amnio. If it is healthy or not, we will go forward.
I need help with how to be a NICU mom. My baby was born at term, but was transferred to another hospital because of trouble breathing. Now he is being slowly weaned off the oxygen to room air, and once he can breathe well on his own he has to prove to them he can eat.
