Having problems with your contact lenses during pregnancy? Experiencing a change in your vision and eyes? Don't worry. This happens to almost all pregnant women. Just like your feet swell, your eyes might change shape, too.
I took at at home pregnancy test March 3rd (actually, 10 home pregnancy test...all showed up positive in less than a minute!). I had a blood test done March 5th to confirm my pregnancy. My first ultrasound/obgyn appointment is March 25th at 9:15. I have so many different emotions going through my head right now it's hard to even sit down and concentrate long enough to write this entry!
I'm in my 12th week of pregnancy and have experienced severe heartburn and gas for the past 2-3 weeks. I have done some adjusting to my diet and it has been helping.
Dear Ms Ultrasound,
Hello, I am currently 23weeks pregnant with my 1st baby. Today I had an ultrasound. My doctor found a thin line or amniotic band around the sac. He assure me that every thing is fine with the baby. He showed me his head, heart, hands, feet and fingers too.
Heartburn, also known as acid indigestion or acid reflux, is the burning sensation that often extends from the bottom of the breastbone to the lower throat. Even women who have never experienced it before may have their first contact with the nasty burning sensation during pregnancy.
I never knew how difficult pregnancy would actually be. I was just always so excited for the miracle of birth and becoming a mom, that I never put much thought to what a strain it would be on me and my body. The thing is, I always hear women talk about their pregnancies so fondly, as if it was a walk in the park and really one of the best times of their life. Now, don't get me wrong, I am incredibly excited for my little bundle of joy, but their are a lot of unexpected difficulties. I don't have a generally sensitive stomach so never paid much attention to morning sickness.
My OB/GYN ordered a GCT at 24 weeks, my results came at 160 mg instead of 140 when given 50 gms of glucose 2 1/2 hrs after a meal.
She next ordered a set of non-challenge tests - Fasting Blood sugar and Post prandial BS. Fasting result was 68 and PPBS after 2 hours was 79.
It is first time for me to be pregnant...
Doctors beleive that i should be 9 weeks pregnant, but the ultrasound shows that i am 6 and 1\2 weeks pregnant... according to the calculatins on the internet i should be 8 weeks pregnant...
The doctors can not make up their minds whether there is heart reaction or not. One is waiting for a sound, but my dilema is: "are the speakers on?!?" The other one sees something blinking on the monitor, but my dilema is "is it the heart reaction?!?"
The only thing they suggest is me having a rest and another examination in a week or two.
I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have had a rather tough pregnancy and although it was planned, at this point I just want to give up! I have gestational diabetes (managed with diet) and PIH and have been on bed rest since week 30.
